Our DNA

Our Purpose

The purpose of our DNA Class is to bring every person into unity with the vision, values, and calling of Jesus Church. We believe that to walk together, we must first agree together. DNA helps us understand who we are, what we believe, and where God is leading us as a church family.

Our Main Goal

The mission of Jesus Church is not self-preservation, but self-sacrifice. We exist to reach the lost, restore the broken, and bring freedom to those in captivity. Our focus is not to hide from the world but to help save it by sharing the hope of Jesus.

Our Vision Priorities

Our vision is simple: Save, Educate, Send.
We are committed to missions, evangelism, spiritual education, and training believers to impact cities, nations, and communities for Christ.

Our Gatherings

Jesus Church grows on two “wings”:

  • Home Groups — where relationships and discipleship happen.

  • Sunday Services — our united, corporate worship.
Services are offered in Russian and English, with flexibility to expand as needed.

The Supernatural

We believe in the active work of the Holy Spirit. This includes:

  • Baptism in the Holy Spirit

  • Speaking in tongues

  • Deliverance

  • Healing

  • Miracles
We pray boldly and expect God to move.

Ministry Gifts

We honor the fivefold ministry—apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher—along with additional spiritual gifts such as leadership, giving, mercy, and healing. Ministers serve by calling, not by vote, and maintain their role as long as their lives reflect biblical character.

Church Governance

Jesus Church is led by ministers recognized from the fivefold gifts. The Senior Pastor (currently Bishop Artur Simonyan) serves unless stepping down voluntarily or engaging in behaviors incompatible with ministry (such as adultery, corruption, addiction, or abusive leadership).

Alcohol-Free Lifestyle

We choose an alcohol-free lifestyle as an act of holiness and obedience. Scripture warns about the destructive effects of alcohol, and we believe sobriety protects our purity, families, and witness to the world.

Leadership Path

Every believer at Jesus Church can become a leader. Requirements include:

  • A desire to serve

  • A strong personal testimony

  • Experience in the church

  • Completion of ministry training

Salvation

Salvation is God’s free gift received through faith in Jesus. It is not earned by works. When we believe and confess Christ as Lord, we are saved.

The Loss of Salvation

A person may fall away if they knowingly reject Christ, choose sin over faith, or abandon a life following Jesus. Yet when believers fall into weakness, God offers restoration.

Confession

Confession depends on the situation:

  • Sins against God — confess directly to Him.

  • Sins against people — ask forgiveness from the person.

  • Personal weight or shame — share only with someone trustworthy (spouse, close friend, minister).
No one is required to confess to a minister.

Water Baptism

Baptism is a covenant with Jesus and a sign of faith. It is open to anyone who believes and repents. We recommend participants be 15+, but younger ages are permitted with parental discernment. A short baptism course is required.

Holy Communion

Anyone who has accepted Jesus as Lord may participate. Before Communion, we reflect on Christ’s sacrifice and approach with repentance and reverence.

Washing of Feet

The church does not practice foot washing as a ceremony but embraces its spiritual meaning—serving one another with humility and love.

Praise & Worship

We worship freely—in joy, movement, instruments, and praise. Clapping, singing, dancing, and expressive worship are all welcome.

Finances

Church finances come from voluntary tithes and offerings. No one is pressured to give. Funds support missions, evangelism, education, charity, and church needs.

Church Projects

Property purchases, renovations, and major projects are supported by voluntary giving. The church does not engage in business ventures to raise funds.

Marriage

We officiate marriages only between one biological man and one biological woman, both believers in Jesus Christ. Marriage is a personal decision, and the church blesses couples who walk in shared faith and values.

Marital Relationships

The church does not intervene in marriages unless invited. Counsel is available upon request, with respect for privacy and boundaries.

Children’s Ministry

Children are not separated from the worship environment in a way that disrupts the service. We invest in teaching, discipling, and developing children spiritually.

Generations

We value unity between generations. While age-specific events exist, our vision is not divided—children, youth, adults, and elders worship and grow together.

Culture & Creativity

We embrace creative ministry as a way to reach people—musicals, theatre, worship nights, sports, camps, and special events that open doors for the gospel.

The Role of Women

Women may freely preach, teach, pray, lead, prophesy, and minister. Scripture, seen in its historical context, supports the equal spiritual calling of men and women in the church.

Cosmetics & Appearance

Women may use cosmetics or cosmetology freely. This has no spiritual impact unless appearance becomes immodest. Our focus is on inward transformation.

Head Coverings

Head coverings are not required in our church. Understanding Paul’s instruction in cultural context shows this was a practice of his time, not a mandate for today.

Inter-Church Relations

We maintain fellowship with all churches who believe in the Holy Trinity. We do not criticize or oppose other ministries. Our focus is preaching the Gospel and helping every believer discover their God-given gift.
